OI runs workshops to support the client team in defining the design brief for a new data centre project, with particular focus on the mechanical systems and energy efficiency. This includes climate analysis for feasibility studies of free cooling and zero refrigeration, using an in-house psychrometric tool. The workshops provide a framework for the participants to discuss the client requirements and explore design options.
There are several key design decisions, which have an important impact on the lifecycle facility cost and should be considered at an early stage in the project planning. The workshop outputs will assist the team in delivering a high performing facility, which is optimised in terms of energy efficiency, reliability, and operating cost.
